Trustee Biographies
Mr Jon McAdam Jon has been a Police Officer for 25 years, working predominantly as a Detective investigating serious and complex crime. Being a Senior Investigating Officer, he has led many investigations including those relating to Homicide and Kidnap and Extorsion. Starting his career in Surrey Police, Jon soon moved to Cambridgeshire Constabulary where he spent most of his career before moving to Lincolnshire Police to be the head of the Protecting Vulnerable Persons Unit. Specialising in the Safeguarding of vulnerable people, Jon worked closely with local authorities and agencies throughout the county, leading to his introduction to the Robert Carre Trust in 2022 where he is currently the chair of the Trust Board. Jon is currently the Assistant Chief Constable for Durham Constabulary. Having been a keen rugby player, on hanging up his boots, Jon has now focused his attention on coaching and spends a lot of his free time coaching a local mini rugby team. |

Mr Nick Law Nick has been the Headteacher at Carre's Grammar School, since January 2008 during which time the school has expanded, becoming co-educational in the sixth form in 2010 and an Academy in 2011. He is the overall lead for the schools within the Trust and works closely with the DfE, Regional Director and the Head of KSHS. His specific focus is to ensure that the Trust's strategies are realised .He is the operational Headteacher of Carre’s Grammar School and is a Local Leader in Education. |

Mr Ben Wills
Having worked as Head of Property & Estates and other roles with Dyson Farming since 2014, Ben now runs his own consultancy business, 360 Rural, providing an innovative and fresh approach to rural business advice. Ben attended Carre’s Grammar School between 1994 – 2001, after which he studied and graduated from the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester with a First Class (Hons) in Rural Land Management in 2005. Returning to Lincolnshire he joined Brown & Co and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and worked in their Grantham and Melton Mowbray offices. Ben also became a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers and became a RICS Registered Valuer. Ben became a Trustee of the Robert Carre Trust in 2020. Outside of work Ben enjoys spending time in the countryside and fell walking in the Lake District. |

Mr Graham Gustard Graham first joined the Board of the Robert Carre Trust in December 2022, bringing his vast experience of governance at his local primary Academy. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser and is employed as the Head of Employment Tax of the University of Cambridge. He is passionate about school finance and governance and is an active member of the Trust’s Finance, Resources and Audit Committee. In his spare time, Graham enjoys exploring other parts of the UK on family holidays. His daughter is a student at KSHS. |

Mr Simon Enstone Simon is a consultant predominantly working on the decarbonisation of transportation across multiple sectors. He has spent the majority of his career working within the automotive industry in the UK, Europe and Japan within technical, financial and general management disciplines and now works with clients worldwide. Simon attended Carre’s as a student prior to completing a Mechanical Engineering degree and MBA at Warwick University. He joined the Trust Board in May 2024, after serving as Community Governor on the Carre’s Local Governance Tier. |

Mr Mark Knapton Mark has worked in education since 2000. He taught Maths and was a ‘head of year’ in several schools in Northern Lincolnshire. He spent four years as the headteacher at Healing School (near Grimsby) and was the first CEO of Healing Multi-Academy Trust (a mixture of nine primary and secondary schools). Mark supported the Trust’s growth and built a small central team to deliver business operations and school improvement. He currently works with several secondary schools across the East Riding and has successfully supported five of them to improve their Ofsted grading. Mark is driven in all his roles to do the very best for the children in our schools. |
